About Sierra Ridge Claim Estimating Co.
Owner-operated in Exeter, California. Building honest estimates for California property owners since 2011.
Meet Phyllis Maxwell.
Phyllis founded Sierra Ridge in 2011 after fourteen years working inside restoration and general contracting companies across the Central Valley. She kept meeting homeowners who had received an insurance settlement that didn't match the damage in their home — not out of malice, but because nobody had taken the time to write the scope of loss the way a carrier could actually work with.
Sierra Ridge exists to fix that gap. We're a small, deliberately narrow company: one owner, a couple of long-term subcontract estimators, and one job — accurate, defensible estimates on every claim we take.

What we insist on.
Honest scope
If damage isn't there, we don't scope it. Padded estimates cost our clients credibility with their carriers — and they cost us the next referral.
Photo-tagged
Every material line item has at least one photo reference. No photo, no line item. That single rule keeps our reports out of disputes.
Zip-code pricing
We refuse to price a Tulare County home at a Los Angeles unit cost — or vice versa. The database we use tracks California pricing by region.
Plain English
Every report has a one-page written summary any homeowner can read. Line-item spreadsheets alone don't help people understand what happened to their home.
Reachable
You get Phyllis's direct number, not a queue. Adjuster questions get answered the same day so your claim doesn't sit in an inbox.
Small on purpose
We say no to work we can't do well. That's why our turnaround is 72 hours and not three weeks.
